One of the pioneers in building steakhouses in Sao Paulo and one of the forerunners of carvery barbecue in the capital was Mr. Adelino Benetti, better known as a dashing man from Gramado, in southern Brazil.
Adelino Benetti has always worked with livestock (cattle of chiller, drover and cattleman) which has earned him a vast knowledge about meat.
When he worked with his FNM Truck traveling around Brazil, visited different restaurants. And over time he realized that many of the places served poorly, did not worry about the quality and generally did not serve good barbecue. At this time, Mr. Adelino faced a great business opportunity. With his advantage of having a great knowledge of meat and being passionate about barbecue, decided to invest in building a restaurant

Thus, our "audacious cowboy" sold his truck and came with his family (wife and six children) to Itapecerica da Serra, Sao Paulo, and opened his first steakhouse, becoming one of the pioneers in the city.
Because of its great success, in 1979, the Benetti family launched the Restaurant and Grill Anhembi Restaurante e Churrascaria Anhembi), today one of the most prestigious and traditional steakhouses in Sao Paulo.
